Three Focus Topics

Racism- No matter what nationality has lived here, has always been historically racist. Div isions within a community due to race only weaken our morality and goals. It is important to continue the awareness of racism so that we may combat it while avoiding overcorrection.

Drug Use- Many of us have not been exposed to heavy drug use, however the use of recreational drugs seems to be growing. Many of our peers consider occasional use of marijuana, or worse, as acceptable. I feel that it is important to realize the implications of drug use on our lives before it's acceptability continues to grow.

Community Involvement- A growing number of people are becoming appathetic to their surroundings. With declining voting numbers, assistance in local organizations, and an overall lack of involvement our communities are becoming less communites and more clusters of individuals in their own worlds. It is important to try to raise community awareness so that people care about those around them and the decisions that affect them.
